The pages on this site describe how we work and what building in this region involves. They are general information about construction, not advice about your specific property.
Nothing on this site is a quote, a bid, or an offer to contract, and nothing on it can be accepted to form an agreement. Every project is scoped and priced individually, in writing, after we have seen the site and the scope. Work begins only under a written agreement signed by both parties — that document, and not this website, states what is included, what it costs, and what each side owes the other. Where anything on this site differs from a signed agreement, the signed agreement governs.
The free lot screen
The lot screen is a free written review of a property, built from public records — county tax and GIS data, soil and flood mapping, utility and permit information. It is a starting point for a conversation and it is yours to keep.
It is not a survey, a soil evaluation, a septic permit, an engineering report, a title opinion, an appraisal, or a legal opinion, and it is not a substitute for any of them. Public records can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Before you buy land or commit money, confirm what matters with the licensed professionals and the county offices whose job it is to say so definitively. Requesting a lot screen creates no obligation for you and no agreement between us.
Costs, timelines and county information
Anything on this site about what drives cost, how long work takes, or how a county handles permitting reflects general conditions at the time of writing. Conditions change, ordinances change, and every property is different. Treat it as orientation, not as a number or a rule you can rely on for your project. Verify permitting requirements with the jurisdiction that actually has authority over your parcel — a town inside a county often permits separately from the county itself.
Images, plans and concepts
Illustrations, renderings and concept images on this site are illustrative. They depict design ideas, not projects we have built or contracted, unless a page says otherwise in plain words. Structural engineering is performed and sealed by a licensed professional engineer where a project requires it.
Using this site
The text, images, layout and design on this site belong to J.C. Rowland Construction, LLC. You are welcome to read it, print it, and share a link to it. Please do not republish it as your own or use it commercially without asking. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, submit false information through its forms, or use it to send unsolicited commercial messages.
