Privacy policy

Plainly: we collect only what you type into a form on this site, we use it only to answer you, we do not sell it, and we delete it whenever you ask.
What we collect
Nothing at all unless you give it to us. There is no account to create and no login on this site.
- What you type into a form. Depending on the form, that is your name, email address, phone number, the lot address or cross streets, the county and any parcel number you supply, how far along you are with the lot, who referred you, and whatever you write in the notes box.
- What you send us directly. Anything in an email or voicemail you send to the address or number on this site.
- Anonymous traffic counts. We use a privacy-first web analytics service to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other websites. We cannot identify you from it.
What we do with it
We use what you send us to answer you, to prepare the free lot screen or the guide you asked for, and to carry on that conversation if you want one. If you asked for the guide, we may email you occasionally about building in this area — every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and using it ends those emails immediately without affecting anything else.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not send it to anyone as a lead. If a project of yours later needs a subcontractor, a surveyor, a soil scientist, or a lender to see something about your property, we ask you first.
Who else touches it
A small number of ordinary service providers handle your information in the course of delivering it to us, and each one is bound by its own privacy terms:
- Our form provider, which receives a form submission and forwards it to our email inbox.
- Our email and calendar provider, where the message is read and stored.
- Our website host and its analytics service, which serves these pages and counts traffic anonymously.
Public records we consult while preparing a lot screen — county tax and GIS records, soil and flood mapping, permit records — are public information about the land, not information about you, and we obtain them without identifying you to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep project correspondence for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterward, because a build inquiry can go quiet for a year and come back. Guide-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Beyond that, we hold what the law requires us to hold for a contracted project, and nothing further.
Your choices
Email jacob@jcrowlandconstruction.com or call (980) 475-4840 and ask us to show you what we have, correct it, stop emailing you, or delete it. We will do it — no form to fill out, no reason required. If a signed contract requires us to retain a record, we will tell you exactly which record and why.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security, and an honest limit
We use reputable providers and keep access to the inbox restricted to the owner. No method of transmitting information over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank account or card numbers, or copies of identity documents through a form on this site. If a real project ever needs something sensitive, we will arrange a proper way to send it.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this policy changes we will change the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly swapped in.
